Telegram comes with a lot of new features. Its new beta version includes new tools such as screen sharing and video control. Telegram will be the first app to use screen sharing in messaging apps. This includes not only screen sharing but also video playback speed control.
Speed controls work well when playing video. It works not only on videos but also on video links like YouTube. You can control the speed by tapping on the overflow button on the top right while it is playing. It can be controlled as 0.2x, 0.5x, 1x, 1.5x and 2x.
In addition to this is the screen sharing option, if you are on a video call with someone, you can start screen sharing by pausing the current video (the second round button on the left). Then tap once again to share again. Below is a screen with three options: Phone screen, Front camera and Back camera. Select the first one, and Android will pop up the standard screen recording/casting message. Start it. When it works, a red cast button appears in the status bar at the top. If you do not see the Red Cast notification, it means it is not working. It is in beta version 7.9.0 of Telegram.
The new version also includes a system where the chat history can be deleted for more than a month (the previous maximum setting was one week). Another is the ability to float video message previews. You can see it by scrolling up or down. You need to visit the Microsoft app to download Telegram Beta. The new beta version is here. The official channel is not available on the Play Store. You will need to download and install it as an APK.
