Google Pixel 6 series has been teased through a post on Instagram and a promotional video on YouTube. Instagram posts show a dozen Google Pixel 6 smartphones, each with different colored wallpapers. This post is a play on the cover of Grammy-winning artist Drake’s latest album, “Certified Lover Boy.” Google Pixel 6 is being seen in the hands of users for the first time in a YouTube video and non-rendered images are shown. The Instagram post also hints at a possible launch date of October 19, which was hinted at earlier as well. The series will include two models – Google Pixel 6 and Google Pixel 6 Pro.
An Instagram post from Made By Google (@madebygoogle) shows the Pixel 6 smartphone with Google-designed You material that will be offered with Android 12. The post was accompanied by a caption that reads “Certified Pixel Lovers” – A Play on Drax Album. It shows the Pixel 6 smartphone in a 4×3 grid with wallpapers in different colors for each device.
There are different watches and widgets on each device. The date Tuesday 19 is visible on Pixel smartphones, which may indicate that the series may launch on Tuesday, October 19. This also confirms the previous report which mentioned the date of announcement of Pixel 6 series. But Google has not yet officially announced the release date.
A video of the Pixel 6 smartphone was also shared on YouTube. This is also the first time that the smartphone has been seen in the hands of the users instead of just the rendered image. The video also shows that the Pixel 6 series will be available in multiple color options – Pixel 6 Pro in Gold and White; Pixel 6 in Green and Orange.
The video mostly shows the back of the phone. In which its unique horizontal camera module is visible. However, the display of the Google Pixel 6 series is shown to be lighter and it appears with thinner bezels on three sides and a correspondingly thicker chin. A central hole-punch cutout for the selfie camera is also shown.
