Realme is making it a try to transform from a smartphone brand to a leading tech lifestyle brand in India. As part of this, a smartwatch and smart TV launched in India on May 25.
Launched two years, the Chinese smartphone company has grown exponentially in India and is next looking at the Indian smartwatch market.
Launched in India under the name Realme Watch, is priced at Rs 3,999. Realme claims to have sold around 15,000 watches in just two minutes when there was a flash sale through Flipkart and the Realme website.
The most important use of the Realme Watch is activity tracking. The Realme Watch has 14 fitness options, which do include football, basketball, table tennis, bike, yoga, cricket, treadmill, and walking.
There is a design that overlooks like an Apple Watch at first glance. The Realme Watch comes with a 1.4 inch (320 x 320 pixels) large colour LCD screen. The screen comes with touch support which has got 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass protection.
The Realme Watch also monitors heart rate along with oxygen levels in the blood. It does have a function of Bluetooth 5 for connectivity. Realme Watch could be controlled through the phone with the Realme Link app installed.
The watch has a 160 mAh battery and can be charged for up to seven consecutive days if the heart rate monitor is turned on and off for up to nine days. Realme claims to have a battery life of up to 20 days in power saving mode.
Realme Watch offers phone calls, WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter, Gmail, SMS, Instagram, Messenger, YouTube and Tick tock notifications on your connected smartphone.
There are 12 types of watch faces now available on the watch. Realme says it will make it 100 soon and the default watch face did show time, date, heart rate, steps taken, weather and calories.
Realme does offer two different strap options, the classic strap and the fashion strap. The watch strap is available in variable colour variants of dark green, red, blue, and black.
