In terms of mobile internet speeds, India has raised its global ranking index for the third time in a row, showing an improvement in overall mobile download speeds over the past two months. India ranks 70th in broadband speeds, according to figures released by Ookla’s SpeedTest Global Index. This is the figure for June 2021. Ookla’s SpeedTest Global Index compares internet speed data from around the world each month. India ranks 122nd in terms of mobile speed.
In terms of mobile internet speeds, India has raised its global ranking index for the third time in a row, showing an improvement in overall mobile download speeds over the past two months. Broadband internet speeds, after a slight decline in May, have a download speed of 58.17 Mbps in India in June. The average download speed of the mobile was 17.84 Mbps, up from 15.34 Mbps last month.
India has excelled in fixed broadband internet speeds. The average download speed was 58.17 Mbps. In May 2021, it was 55.65 Mbps. In June, India’s average mobile upload speed was 5.17 Mbps and the broadband average was 54.43 Mbps.
The UAE tops the list with an average mobile internet download speed of 193.51 Mbps, followed by South Korea with 180.48 Mbps and Qatar with 171.76 Mbps. Compared to other countries on the subcontinent, Oman ranks 26th in the world in mobile internet speeds, ranking 15th in the global rankings compared to last month’s results.
Monaco, Singapore and Hong Kong are ranked first, second and third with fixed broadband speeds of 260.74 Mbps, 252.68 and 248.94 Mbps respectively. The global mobile download average is 55.34 Mbps and the upload speed is 12.69 upload speed. Broadband has an average upload speed of 106.61 Mbps and a download speed of 57.67 Mbps.
