• Now there is a big revolution in JXL and image file format instead of JPG

The face of the JPEG image file format, which did dominate the era of mobile photography and digital photography. One can note that there is an official release of JPEG format later this year, but a beta version is still on the market. Its feature is more optimization and additionally supports web-based images and speeds uploading. Creators of JPEG XL announces this. Their free open-source format will further enhance and release in the new JXL format later this year. This can significantly reduce file bandwidth and storage costs.

The JPEG image format was first developed by researchers at the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) in the 1980s and over time, it became the best format for photos on digital cameras and on the World Wide Web, as it had many advantages over other formats of the time and at that time, it was a major revolution. The time taken to load the images and the ability to store up to 50 images on a single memory card is unique.

For almost 30 years, this standard used for data compression to keep files small has remained largely unchanged. Many of the formats introduced replacing JPEG, including JPEG 2000, JPEG XR, Google’s WebP, and even HEC widely abandoned. The great acceptance of this is that JPG can transcode to reduce their size without losing quality.

Therefore, the JPG XL format may be more suitable and more acceptable for this script. There is a conversion of existing JPEG files to JPEG XL and transcoded. One can also store and transfer back to a server. It comes with the extension dot jxl.
