• Twitter Website goes down for some users, company claims resolving issues


    Twitter Website goes down : Twitter has approached its users and begins to state that tweets should start appearing now after a quick fix, although other parts of the website may still not be working.

    As many of them experienced that Twitter was down late on Wednesday for multiple users, with most of them complaining about issues with the social media platform’s website, according to outage monitoring website Downdetector.

    Twitter does state that it was working to fix the issue. Around 6,000 user reports indicated issues with Twitter as of 1:40 a.m. GMT (7:10 a.m. IST), and about 93 percent of those being related to its website, according to Downdetector. At that point in time, the numbers were slightly decreased and show around it comes down to more than 2,600 user reports within an hour.

    It is also noted that “Profiles’ tweets might not be loading for some of you on the Web and we are currently working on a fix”, Twitter Support said in a tweet.

    Thus, it follows quickly up with another tweet, “Tweets should now be visible on profiles, but other parts of Twitter for the web may not be loading for you. We are more focused to work upon getting things back to normal.”

    Downdetector did make it to track the outages which are through collating status reports from a series of sources, including user-submitted errors on its platform.

    Thus from other news related to Twitter, during June 30, two FIRs being lodged in Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh against senior officials of Twitter’s India office which is over the social media platform for putting up a distorted map of the country.

    The Delhi Police did register a case against Twitter during a complaint being filed by the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) for allowing allegedly child abuse material on the social media platform.




    There are a lot of issues being run between Twitter and Indian authorities. While the social media giant is delayed in a row with the central government over not following the new IT rules, Twitter India MD Manish Maheshwari recently summoned by Ghaziabad police in UP is in a probe with a video that is being posted within the connection with an assault on an elderly Muslim man.

    There was a Supreme Court order being launched from Uttar Pradesh Police against an order from the Karnataka High Court that restrains taking action against Maheshwari in the case.

    The first FIR issued is with regards to the wrong map issue that was lodged at the Khurja Nagar Police Station in the Bulandshahr district of Uttar Pradesh. This is on Monday evening which is against Maheshwari and News Partnerships which heads Amrita Tripathi under the Indian Penal Code section 505 (2) that is based on a complaint from an office-bearer of right-wing outfit Bajrang Dal.

    Section 505 (2) did make it to relates is that the statements which create or promoting enmity, hatred or ill-will between classes.

    Thus charges are being provisioned under Information Technology Act section 74 for publication for a fraudulent purpose and have also been invoked in the case, according to the FIR.

    Twitter, thus on Monday had removed the wrong map which showed the Union Territories of Ladakh and Jammu and Kashmir being appeared as outside from India, following an uproar.
