On May 18, the Department of Telecom issued a directive to Internet service providers to block We transfers and it is learned that their service has been blocked in India through We Transfer’s blog.
The company’s blog post says it is working hard finding the cause behind the block and will rectify it as soon as possible.
There are files of up to 2GB we can share via We Transfer for free and you do not have a separate account for this and can also share files up to 20 GB for a fee.
The government has not yet clarified what the problem was on the part of the V transfer only to impose a ban in India. The ban comes at a time when people working from home in the wake of a lockdown are increasingly using such forces to share large files.
