• OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro smartphones manipulated benchmark scores, Geekbench took this tough step

    OnePlus has launched the OnePlus 9 series only a few months back. This flagship smartphone of OnePlus has been introduced with the top-of-the-line Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset. Regarding this flagship mobile processor of Qualcomm, the company claims that its CPU and GPU offer strong performance.

    The OnePlus 9 series may have been introduced with Qualcomm’s most powerful chipset, but a new report claims that OnePlus has messed up the benchmark app to enhance the performance of the device. AnandTech’s report has claimed that strange activity is being seen in the OnePlus 9 Pro smartphone on the Geekbench platform. After an investigation on this, Geekbench has removed the OnePlus 9 series from its platform.



    AnandTech’s report has claimed that there has been a difference in the performance of many apps in both the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro phones. The website claims that OnePlus keeps some popular applications away from its fastest core, slowing down workloads like web browsing. AnandTech has told in its report that many tests have been done by them. Along with this, the performance of this phone in many popular Knoll benchmark apps is quite slow. Along with this, the performance of this phone in benchmarks and other apps remains strong.
    Geekbench said – OnePlus disappointed

    Geekbench has removed the OnePlus 9 Series from the Android benchmark charge after this episode. Along with this, Geekbench also says that it is investigating whether the old OnePlus smartphone has manipulated the benchmark score. Geek Bench tweeted that it is disappointing that OnePlus has used the App Identifier for Performance. We have removed the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro smartphones from our Android benchmark charge after the benchmark scores were manipulated. Along with this, we will also test other OnePlus smartphones in our performance lab. If this happens then those smartphones will also be removed from the benchmark chart.

    Realme has also messed up
    OnePlus has not yet given any official statement on this. Earlier, OnePlus’ sister company Realme has also manipulated the benchmark score. Realme GT 5G smartphone was banned from the AnTuTu benchmark test. Realme in its defence had said that its benchmark scores are accurate and they are in talks with AnTuTu in this matter.
