• Two smartphone models of Poco M3 increased its price

The Poco M3 is one of the most sought after smartphones in the budget segment, especially in the Poco Yellow colour variant. If you want to buy one of these smartphones, you will have to pay an extra Rs 500 along with the actual crop. This is because the price of the Poco Yellow colour variant has been increased.

The Poco M3 has been increased by Rs 500 in two storage variants and the edition with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage is priced currently at Rs 11,499 and the 128GB storage variant is priced at Rs 12,499. There is no change in the price of the Basic Edition with 4GB of RAM. Poco does not disclose the reason behind the price increase, but it seems that important parts of the phone may be the reason for the price increase. The new prices apply to both online and offline channels.

The Poco M3 is now more expensive and the price hike is not new in this smartphone segment, especially for Xiaomi based brands. Earlier, the Redmi Note 10 was priced higher in both the storage variants while the Redmi Note 10 Pro was priced higher in the 128GB variant. Most of these inflations are due to the increase in device parts and logistics costs.

Despite an increase in the price, the Poco M3 still remains one of the best smartphone options in its segment. This smartphone is based on Redmi 10 Power. It also sells for a similar price. The M3 comes with a 6.5-inch Full HD + display with Gorilla Glass 3 security. There is a Snapdragon 662 chipset paired and powered with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. At the time of launch, Poco released an MIUI 12 based on Android 10. The special camera hump design includes a 48-megapixel main camera, a 2-megapixel macro camera and a 2-megapixel depth camera. The front camera is provided with an 8-megapixel sensor.

The Poco has a 6000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging and comes with a 3.5 mm headphone jack and a USB-C port. The Poco M3 Pro was recently launched at a basic edition starting at Rs 13,999. The Pro comes with a 5G Dimension 700 chipset and a 90 Hz refresh rate display, but it comes with a smaller 5000 mAh battery.
