• Android 12 update is coming

After months of beta testing, Google has officially released the next version of Android – Android 12. The company has left the source code of Android 12 to AOSP (Android Open Source Project) and is planning to push the update to Google Pixel devices, which is likely to be out in the next few weeks.

Android 12 is the next major release in the Android OS. The update comes with a visual revamp that includes a new Material U theme, a redesigned notification, a new privacy dashboard, privacy indicators and more. Android 12 is a power-house of features, but the question is, when will Android 12 arrive on your smartphone? In our Android 12 update tracker, we will discuss which smartphones will get the Android 12 update first.

    Android 12: Release Date

Google has “officially” released Android 12. The update follows the fifth beta released in September. Although the source has been put on AOSP, Pixel devices are yet to receive their first stable update to Android 12. Once the official update is rolled out on Google Pixel devices, we will have several smartphone makers coming up with their plans for the Android 12 rollout. By the end of the year, we will have many Android-12 based skins ready from Oppo, Xiaomi, OnePlus etc.

    When will Android 12 come?

When the Android 12 update will arrive for your device completely depends on your smartphone manufacturer. Some are quick to release the latest updates while others take a whole year. The chances of your device getting the update will also depend on the update policy for your specific device i.e. whether the device is eligible for the update or not. The speed at which the Android 12 update is arriving will depend on whether it is a high-end smartphone and/or whether it has been released recently.
