Homegrown short-form video-sharing app Mitron has launched Atmanirbhar Apps on Google Play to discover apps made in India for various services and needs. Atmanirbhar Apps wants to provide users with an instant portal for indigenous apps, to take forward the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative. The app offers recommends based on categories such as business, e-learning, news, health, shopping, sports, utility, entertainment, social and more. Till now, Atmanirbhar Apps is available for download only on Android devices.
Atmanirbhar Apps is available for free on Google Play. It allows you to explore and discover more than 100 Indian apps created by local developers. It also has the option of taking the Atmanirbhar pledge to support the initiative of Atmanirbhar India initiated by Narendra Modi.

The application requires no registration, and once downloaded, it directly shows you all the Indian app recommendations that a user can download. It includes well-known apps like Arogya Setu, BHIM, Narendra Modi App, JioTV, DigiLocker, Kaagaz Scanner and even IRCTC Rail Connect.
If we look at the apps in the list, it shows that many apps have been included here, it is being said that you will get more than 100 apps in it. The download size of Atmanirbhar Apps is around 12MB. Currently, the platform claims to host more than 100 apps and plans to bring the total to 500 by the end of this year. The platform hosts a wide variety of apps from categories such as e-governance, utility, agriculture, gaming, entertainment, lifestyle, e-learning, etc. It enables visibility of lesser-known apps like Atmanirbh Kifayat, Grocit, Jain Thela, Home Shoppy, YourQuote, Vridhi Stores, Xploree AI Keyboard, mParivahan, and the like.
Clicking on the ‘Get App’ button next to the suggested application redirects you to the Google Play list of the app from which you can then download. As of now, no plans have been revealed to release Atmanirbhar Apps on the iOS platform.
